After years of cheating and betrayal, even after having a baby with someone else, Tristan Thompson still hasn’t broken up.

He’s done it before. First, through public social media comments. Then before you know it, he’ll be showing family events.

Many of us remember the week of April 12, 2018. Tristan’s first massive cheating scandal (the first of many) erupts… and hours later, Khloe goes into labor.

It is now five years later. This means that the truth is five years old. In fact, she already had a big birthday bash.

As you can see in the photo above, Malika Haq — Khloe’s longtime bestie — snapped some pictures from True’s party and shared them online.

She praised Kris Jenner, writing, “My son’s mother is the best mother.” Which is great! One imagines Chris would be a wonderful mother (and godmother) to Ace.

But, behind the counselor, the footage shows that Tristan Thompson was there. And honestly? This is no surprise.

Social media users were quick to pick up on Tristan’s presence. He is a tall, visibly attractive athlete. It wasn’t subtle.

Even at a party full of adults (which means a different, actual birthday party could be closer to the actual day), Tristan stood out.

And many people were quick to express their concerns about Tristan’s presence at another Khloé family event.

What is the concern? After all, this is also Tristan’s daughter’s birthday.

But as many people were quick to point out, Tristan seems to be working on a pattern.

After Chloe gets angry, part of the process is to convince him that he’s changed (not changed) and is on his best behavior — and flashing his charm to her friends and family.

Look, maybe Khloe won’t fall for Tristan’s toxic shenanigans anymore. Maybe Tristan won’t try to make his way into Khloe’s unfaithful partner anymore.

But after spending several years repeating this same disgusting cycle with her… it’s a little hard to believe that it isn’t.

Khloe has repeatedly opened the door to Tristan. Partly because he’s actually the father (and they now share two children, thanks to his scheming) and partly because Khloe seems especially vulnerable to this special someone.

The counter argument is, of course, that this is the birthday of Truth. She is no longer a child – five years old.

If this is just throwing a really good (growth-oriented) birthday party, then that’s fine.

But this can’t be about giving Tristan another chance. Maybe one day it will change. Even if he does, Chloe won’t give him another chance. I never credited him with the opportunities he had already squandered.

Meanwhile, Tristan has indeed fathered other children. Marale Nichols seems to have overshadowed the parties with True’s set in a recent post.

“It’s the simple things in life that are most special,” she wrote.

Maybe fans are reading too much into it, but it could be a deliberate dig at the lifestyle of Tristan’s second and fourth children.
