
A new Vande Bharat Express is likely to ply between Secunderabad and Bangalore soon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reported to have discussed the issue with government officials during his visit to Telangana, though the exact date of its launch is not known.

Soon, the route and departure time will be announced. However, the ticket prices are expected to be comparable to Vande Bharat trains run by Indian Railways. Probably, it will cost between 1,200 to 1,500 INR but it is not official.
If successful this will be Telangana’s 3rd Vande Bharat Express. An official announcement in this regard is likely to happen soon. In January, it was reported that the South Central Railway authorities were planning to introduce a 570 km semi-high speed express train from Bengaluru to Kacheguda in Hyderabad.
From Bangalore to Hyderabad, it takes approximately ten hours in total, a Vande Bharat Express passenger will save 6 hours. Even before it starts, the journey from Bangalore to Hyderabad takes just four hours on the Vande Bharat train. Routes, schedules and more information will be available soon.
According to reports, BJP candidates in Karnataka have already started mentioning Vande Bharat Express in their campaigns. Vande Bharat trains from Hyderabad to Bangalore will be a major development in connecting two important IT hubs of India.

In the year On April 8, 2023, Prime Minister Modi launched the 2nd Vande Bharat Express in the Telugu region, which runs from Secunderabad to Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. In 8 hours and 30 minutes, this express train covers the 660 km between the 2 major cities (3 hours and minutes faster).

The second Vande Bharat Express has started running between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh from January. A second train is expected to run between Secunderabad and Pune.
The Railway Department plans to run 75 Vande Bharat trains by the end of the year and 400 in the next 3 years. The semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express trains can travel at a top speed of 160 kmph. They have “aircraft-like” features and are made as part of the Centre’s flagship Make-in-India programme.
