The Scottish midfielder started as a striker in United’s youth academy before moving into midfield.
McTominay’s clean shooting will help him score a few goals.
In Casemiro’s absence, the 26-year-old has played at the helm of a midfield pillar that includes Bruno Fernandes and Marcel Sabitzer.
It gives him the freedom to make a mauling run behind the opposing defense.
It remains to be seen how Ten Hague will shape the midfield after Casemiro’s suspension.
McTominay’s absence could be a huge blow for United.
The 26-year-old brings steel and energy to the center of the park, which could be useful against technical opponents like Sevilla.
