Fabrizio Romano has spoken about Man United's relationship with Ryan Gravenburgh as the midfield situation worsens.

Former Manchester United target Ryan Gravenburg has spoken about his current playing time at Bayern Munich.

The Dutch international has been interested in the club for two seasons and they tried to sign him on loan after joining Bayern.

At the back of the January transfer window, Christian Eriksen was injured, leaving the club with no chance of finding a replacement.

However, Bayern turned down Man United’s approach despite the midfielder not playing many minutes.

Since then, things have not improved for Gravenberch, who recently opened up to the Dutch media about his time at Bayern.

Fabrizio Romano recently highlighted the interview on his Twitter page.

The tweet read: “I do not regret my decision. I expected to play a lot at Bayern, but so far it hasn’t been as expected.

“It’s sad for me, but I know how to get out of it,” he told @Ajaxshowtimecom.

Bayern rejected an approach from PL clubs in January.

Even under new manager Thomas Tuchel, Gravenburg has been reduced to a squad role compared to his time at Ajax.

He was a key figure for Eric’s former team, scoring two goals and providing an assist during his ten-year tenure.

Although he failed to score in the Bundesliga, he managed to score once in the cup competition, but he could not break into the eleventh.

A midfield pillar featuring Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka is currently up front and it doesn’t look like they will be relegated to the bench anytime soon.

It remains to be seen whether Erik Ten Haag will be able to choose a bigger target, even if United move for Gravenbirch in the summer.

Frankie De Jong and Jude Bellingham seem to be interested in the manager.
