Rory McIlroy He is a four-time major champion, but his golf resume is incomplete.

By winning the Masters this weekend, McIlroy will become the fifth career Grand Slam winner, joining Gene Sarazen, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods as the only golfers to win all four majors.

McIlroy is in a major drought. He hasn’t won one since the 2014 PGA Championship.

His best finish at Augusta Last year he came second.

“I’ve got all the ingredients to make the dough. It’s just a matter of putting all the ingredients in and setting the oven to the right temperature and getting it all kind of fruity,” McIlroy said.

He is the second ranked golfer in the world behind McIlroy. Scottie Schefflerthe favorite to defend the title from last year.

Massilroy will make his 15th start at Augusta. The third began when the masters were all dreaming.

He held a four-shot lead going into the final round that year, but shot an eight-over 80 on Sunday to finish T15. It remains the leader’s worst final round result.

McIlroy recovered well, winning the next major 2011 US Open, And he’s probably a Hall of Famer.

At the age of 33, he thinks it’s time to do it.

The Masters app features AI-generated play-by-play, much to the dismay of fans.

“I’ve won four of them,” McIlroy said of his major championships. “I’m knocking on the door for that fifth time.” I feel as good, if not better, than the last time I won a major championship, so I’m feeling pretty good. It’s good about him.

Massilroy’s last shot at Augusta was a hole-in-one 64 from the green side of the 18th. Even though it was a year ago, he’s using that shot as momentum.

“The last time this tournament was played, I walked away from the course and was happy with myself,” McIlroy said. “I convinced myself that I could do it. As long as I didn’t get into an argument [to win]I had a class last year where I felt like I had a chance on the back nine. And to play it the way I did… and to keep those feelings in my mind, it felt like a huge breakthrough.

McIlroy has finished in the top 10 in seven of the past nine Masters, so he’s been knocking on the door.
