The Tech Exec was visiting San Francisco for a ‘quick visit’
according to NBC Bay AreaThe 43-year-old was attacked on Tuesday morning in San Francisco. Reporter Scott McGrew said people close to Lee have recently moved on MiamiAlthough he returned to San Francisco for a “quick visit.”

Officers arrived at the scene shortly after 2:30 a.m. and transported Lee to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
No details were given about the suspects. No arrests have been made in the case.
Bob Lee Remembered as ‘Force of Nature’: ‘He Was a Dream Boy’
The sad news was announced in the year press release From Josh Goldbard – CEO of MobileCoin, a cryptocurrency where Lee was Chief Product Officer (CPO).

In the statement, Goldbard remembered Bob Lee as a “mastermind, leader and consummate hacker” who “certainly had an impact that lasted far beyond his brief time on Earth.”
“Bob was a dynamo, a force of nature. Bob was the genuine article. He was made for the world he was born into, he was a dreamer, and he made his dreams come true, no matter how crazy.
In recognition of Bob’s work, we should add that he was the first Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Square, a popular program that helps businesses process credit and debit card payments.
He is also cited as having “made significant contributions to Android” and given his LinkedIn The profile admits that it “added a number of features to the Java programming language and platform.” As such, it is clear that Lee’s work has impacted many lives.
The San Francisco Police Department is asking anyone with information on the case to call 415-575-4444.
