Match Report: Tottenham Hotspur Women 1-2 Manchester United Women

Manchester United have made an official bid for Aston Villa teenager Evri Rabjo.

According to the Daily Mail, United have joined Chelsea in their bid to sign the 17-year-old defender.

Rabjon made her England U19 debut last October and has been called up again for this month’s matches.

Villa made her debut in September as a substitute for Rachel Daly in a 2-0 win over Leicester and made her WSL debut in Villa’s 5-0 win over the Foxes at the end of last month.

United are keen to sign young domestic talent as the club continues to build and it appears that they have informed Villa of their interest in Rabjon in the last 24 hours.

She will turn 18 on April 28 and is still undecided about her future.

Chelsea are known to be admirers of the defender, but United are the first club to make the move official.

Under FA rules, they now have to wait seven days before they can discuss personal matters with the player’s representatives.

If United are successful, Villa will not receive any compensation because the rules are different in the women’s game to the men’s.

Players in the women’s game can move without a fee from their club before they sign their first professional contract at the age of 18.

There is a compensation system established by FIFA in the men’s game.

WCSL clubs have pushed for the rules to be changed, and Chelsea boss Emma Hayes has been at the forefront of these campaigns despite her club using the current rules.
