Not long after the Baltimore Ravens signed free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., quarterback Lamar Jackson gave fans hope in a recent Instagram post.

That has left Ravens fans in awe, as there is no firm answer as to who will return at quarterback if Jackson refuses to play.
But on Sunday, the Ravens made a big move — they succeeded. Sign free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year contractHe is worth up to $18 million, with $15 million guaranteed. While that was all well and good, Ravens fans were wondering who would throw the pass.
Well, in response to the signing, Jackson took to his Instagram story, capturing a screen shot of his face-to-face call with Beckham.

Ravens fans were surely hoping this was good news about the relationship between the team and Jackson. But then the team’s official Twitter account posted a similar photo from Jackson’s Instagram account.
Shortly after signing CBS Sports insider Josina Anderson tweeted Team owner Steve Bisciotti has been in frequent contact with Beckham this offseason, and has been “bringing him about the idea of coming to Baltimore, the support he’ll have with the team and the need to help align things with Lamar Jackson.”
TheScore NFL insider Jordan Schultz provided an update, reporting that Jackson and Beckham had “several conversations” during the wide receiver’s free agency visit and discussed joining and winning the Super Bowl with the Ravens.
Jackson is set to make $32.4 million through the 2023 season if he plays on the franchise tag. Teams can send an offer sheet to the Ravens, who have a chance to match or reject it. If they decline, then they receive a first-round pick in exchange for the next two NFL drafts. As mentioned earlier, no team followed Jackson.
For those wondering what Jackson thought of the Ravens bringing in Beckham, it looks like he approves. Now, we wait to see what the quarterback’s contract with the team will be.
