on Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN Wiggins reported that he could be back soon.
Via Wojnarowski: “ESPN sources: Golden State Warriors star forward Andrew Wiggins is close to returning to the team and is expected to return as early as this week. Wiggins has missed 21 games due to a family issue. A big boost for the defending champions and the sixth seed in the West.”
Wiggins was midway through another impressive season, averaging 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals in 37 games.
He is shooting a career-high 47.3% from the field and 39.6% from three-point range.
Last season, he made his first All-Star Game and was a big reason the Warriors were able to win the NBA Championship against the Boston Celtics.

Currently, the Warriors are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a record of 41-38 in 79 games.
That said, the West is so close that they are only a half game ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers.
The Warriors next play Tuesday night when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chase Center.
